An avatar is a small icon that is displayed in your profile and next to each of your posts. It is a form of visual identification beyond your forum username. You may upload an image from your computer or select an image from the default galleries to use as your avatar.

Uploading an Avatar

To add an an avatar from your computer, follow these steps:

1. At the top of the forum, click the Preferences button.
2. In the Profile Options menu, select Change Avatar.
3. In the Custom Avatar menu, click the Browse button, which is next to the Upload Avatar field.
4. Navigate to the folder that contains the image file you want to upload, select it, and click the Open button.
5. Ensure that the trail to the image file in the Upload Avatar field is correct, and click the Use Uploaded Avatar button.

Selecting an Avatar

To select an avatar from the default image gallery, follow these steps:

1. At the top of the forum, click the Preferences button.
2. In the Profile Options menu, select Change Avatar.
3. Enter any of the default galleries by clicking on the gallery name.
4. Once you have found an image from a gallery that you would like to use, simply click on it to add it as your avatar.

Removing your Avatar

At some point you may decide that you no longer want an avatar. To remove your current avatar, follow these steps:

1. At the top of the forum, click the Preferences button.
2. In the Profile Options menu, select Change Avatar.
3. In the Avatar Settings area, click the Remove button under your current avatar.

Please note that you do not need to remove your avatar to choose another. By uploading an avatar or selecting a new image from the gallery, your current avatar will be automatically updated to the new one.
